'The Light After The Storm' is a vibrant and textured abstract seascape. This painting is an evolution of my current abstract seascape style showcasing a more varied scene; removing the headland from the horizon and giving way to pure open ocean. I think the effect has worked well, drawing the viewer directly into the center of the painting and towards the source of light. 

Painted on a high quality cotton canvas this piece can be a focal point of any room, the colours complementing any warm interiors containing wood or minimalist colours. Finished with a semi gloss coat of varnish the paint is vibrant and full of depth. Lots of palette knife work and texture has been used to create more of a 3D effect from every angle.
