'The Dawn Is Now' is a vibrant and textured abstract landscape painting. I have been looking to branch into landscapes for sometime, it seemed like a natural progression from my abstract seascape direction and this painting is the first of this new tangent in my work. There is certainly a strong pull to the center of this piece and a sensation of vast distance. While you may feel that you can put words to the forms that are displayed, there is also the quality of not fully knowing what is being depicted but only working with a loose idea. This is the preference with my abstract seascapes and now landscapes aswell, to illustrate something that is known but also not known at the same time. 

Painted on a high quality cotton canvas this piece can be a focal point of any room, the colours complementing any warm interiors containing wood or minimalist colours. Finished with a semi gloss coat of varnish the paint is vibrant and full of depth. Lots of palette knife work and texture has been used to create more of a 3D effect from every angle.
